Bilali Kabula is a principal research scientist at NIMR and a MCDC-Post-doctoral fellow at the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College (KCMUCO) of Tanzania. He has carried out research in the areas of onchocerciasis, lymphatic filariasis and malaria (particularly on mosquito ecology and insecticide resistance among malaria vectors). He has specialized in ecology and insecticide resistance of mosquito vectors. He is currently coordinating the monitoring of insecticide resistance of malaria vectors in the country. He also worked with the World Health Organization (WHO) in Tanzania as a country project officer for malaria vector control from 2008 to 2011. He qualified for BSc degree in veterinary medicine at Sokoine University of Agriculture in 2000; MPhil in Entomology at University of Ghana in 2007 and PhD at KCMUCO in 2014.
